Sandra Chavez dreams big for her students and brings that passion everyday to the classroom! Sandra teaches high school World History at Sam Houston High School so the Jones team transformed her classroom into a true learning environment. JAG associate contest winner Hanah Kim designed a modern World Map mural that over 20 volunteers painted on a back wall of the classroom. The rest of the team added a fresh coat of paint to the other walls and created a cozy reading area complete with new History books courtesy of Scholastic books. JAG contest winners Mary Toomey and Susan Knee tackled the school's teacher's lounge with an engaging shade of green paint, a new stainless steel refrigerator, new carpets, sofas, reading chairs and a new dining set so teacher's could spend their downtime in style!
